Cork Midsummer Festival 21 June – 1 July 2012

12 June 2012 by:

For the first time ever, Cork Midsummer Festival 2012 is delighted to present assisted performances of selected Festival productions.

Assisted performances give audiences with sensory impairments full access to theatre by means of audio description for blind and visually impaired people and captioning for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

With something to suit all tastes in the mix we hope that you get to sample some of the incredible shows on offer during the Cork Midsummer Festival.

Rian: Audio described performance on 23 June at 8 pm

Silent: Audio described and captioned performance on 29th June at 8 pm

The Girl Who Forgot to Sing Badly: Captioned performance on 30 June at 2.30 pm.

The assisted performances are generously facilitated by Arts & Disability Ireland with funding from Arts and Disability Network Cork.  For further information log into www.corkmidsummer.com
